As part of Scholarship Sewanee, History Honors' candidates Benjamin Axelrod, Brian Fennessy, Brian Easley, Erin Olbon, and Elizabeth Myers will present their theses at 2:45 p.m. in Walsh-Ellett 210 on Friday, April 27.
Professor Roger S. Levine, Associate Professor of History, has been quoted in a New York Times article on Amantle Montsho, one of the fastest women in the world and a favorite to win gold at the Summer Games in London.
Brian Fennessy, C'12, has received several graduate school offers. Fennessy will be attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he will enter their Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2012.
The annual Anita S. Goodstein Lecture in Women's History presents historian and biographer Susan Ware, who will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Convocation Hall. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Title IX, Ware's talk will be "A Sporting Chance: Title IX and Women's History." The public is welcome.
