History Honors Theses to be Presented as Part of Scholarship Sewanee April 26

As part of Scholarship Sewanee, History Honors' candidates Katie Brown, Elisabeth Wharton, Robert Allen, Michael Petrosh, Lacy Broemel, Lauren Berny and Peter Sidrys will present their theses at 2:30 p.m. in Walsh-Ellett 210 on Friday, April 26.
Representative Syllabi for Advent 2013 History 100 Courses Now Available

Each semester members of the Department of History offer a section of History 100, a "core requirement" that all Sewanee students must complete (unless they are participating in the four-semester Humanities Program) in order to graduate. Most students take this course during the first year.

Whitmer, MacLaren & Thompson win ACA/UNCA Undergraduate Research Award

Kelly Whitmer (History), Jeff Thompson (Art History) and Shelley MacLaren (Art History/University Art Gallery) recently won an ACA/UNCA Undergraduate Research Award to pursue a project entitled "Science and Art: Collections, Exhibitions and the Production of Knowledge." The project aims to generate new approaches to interdisciplinary undergraduate research in the humanities on the campus of the University of the South.
